ABOUT MARTIN RAWLINGS-FEIN 馬文龍

Martin Rawlings-Fein is a Jewish, bisexual, transgender, father of two & educator who specializes in building bridges across educational divides. A firm vaccine proponent, he is a childhood stroke survivor and a neurodiversity advocate. From conferences in the San Francisco Bay Area to the White House, Martin speaks coast to coast & writes about the topics of EdTech in education, gender & sexuality in Judaism, and pedestrian safety in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Currently an Educational Technology Specialist at UCSF & former head teacher & education director at the Beit Sefer Phyllis Mintzer school in San Francisco, and an advocate for the Sunset/Parkside District (4) as the Vice Chair of the Pedestrian Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), Martin has worked in educational advocacy spaces for over two decades through SFUSD, Jewish Supplementary Schools & the LGBTAC, FTMI, SF TEAM, SF Human Rights Commission, SFMTA, Bay Area Bisexual Network, Sha'ar Zahav, PSAC, BiNet USA, and TGSF. He remains a founding member of the Lou Sullivan Society (FTMSF).
Martin is a graduate of New College of California & the Davvenen' Leadership Training Institute (DLTI), and earned his advanced degree in Jewish Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. He is a co-chair for the Bay Area Bisexual Network, a former board member of Sha'ar Zahav, a current board member of the national organization BiNet USA, and a sometimes rabbinic student.
